Software License Management
This section provides information about obtaining a software license. It also includes additional
software license information such as how to transfer a license and how to troubleshoot license
errors.
Obtaining a Software License
In general, the site should already have a software license available. If necessary, however, you
can “build” a license to meet the customer’s needs. All licensing is handled through the
Application Management Center (AMC). For information on the AMC, refer to the Help or other

System Type Selection
The System Type field identifies the platform associated with the license loaded on the system.
For a Mitel CS-5200 license, the field displays “Mitel CS-5200,” and accordingly for the CS-
5400 and CS-5600 system licenses. This read-only field should match the System Type shown
on the About Inter-Tel Software License dialog. See the example shown in “Viewing the Current
License,” which follows.
