Do the following:
1. Choose the module on which you
want to change capacity:
• LS–4: Check that ports 3
and 4 are empty on the
module you want to modify.
The menu item does not
appear if ports 3 or 4 are
populated.
• LS–2
2. Right-click the module and select
the option to convert. An example
at right shows converting a Loop
Start - 4 to a Loop Start - 2.
Change IP Endpoint or Softphone Type
You may decide you want a particular IP Endpoint to be a softphone. See Table 6-14, “DB
Converter Supported Cards/Card Conversion,” on page 6-28 and Table 6-15, “DB Converter
Supported Devices/Device Conversion,” on page 6-28 for additional information on what items
can be converted.
To convert the IP endpoint to a softphone:
Do either of the following:
• Right-click the IP endpoint you want to change and select Convert to IP
Softphone.
Right-click the IP softphone you want to change and select Convert to IP Endpoint.
NOTE
Effective with v2.1, production of the LSM-2 module was discontinued, but existing
modules are supported in DB Programming.
