Change Module Capacity
A menu option allows for changing between LS-2 and LS-4 modules and between T1/E1/PRI
and Dual T1/E1/PRI modules. LS-4 modules are always created when Loop Start Cards are
dragged and dropped from the Inter-Tel Axxess view, and T1/E1/PRI modules are always
created when T1/E1/PRI cards are dragged and dropped from the Inter-Tel Axxess system
(versions 2.3 and greater). The destination Mitel 5000 platform may plan to have a Loop Start
Module - 2 or a Dual T1/E1/PRI module in that bay, so this menu option allows you to make this
change in the database without uninstalling the devices or ports. Existing ports on the modules
are preserved.
Right-clicking on a T1/E1/PRI module provides an option to convert to Dual T1/E1/PRI. Also,
right-clicking on an LS-2 module provides an option to convert to Loop Start Module - 4.
Right-clicking on a Dual T1/E1/PRI module when port 2 is empty provides an option to convert
to T1/E1/PRI.
