Drag and Drop Mitel 5000 Devices
Mitel 5000 devices can be dragged and dropped within the Mitel 5000 platform, as shown
below.
The following drag and drop locations in the Mitel 5000 view are supported for Mitel 5000
devices:
• Mitel module, port, or folder (below)
• “Empty device location” on page 6-43
• “Populated device location” on page 6-43
• “IP devices” on page 6-43
When the last device is moved from a module, the module is not uninstalled. If desired,
manually uninstall the module using the right-click menu (see page 6-52).
Figure 6-5. Mitel 5000 Devices Drag and Drop Operations
To a Mitel 5000 Module, Port, or Folder
Any installed Mitel 5000 device can be dragged and dropped on a Mitel 5000 module, port, or
folder, provided there is room on the module, port or folder and the device is supported. See
page 6-28 for a table showing which types of devices are supported on which types of modules
in the Mitel 5000 platform. If a group is being dragged, the drag is permitted if at least one
device in the group can be moved.
When a device is dragged and dropped onto another module, port or folder within the Mitel
5000, the device is moved into the first available empty location. The view is automatically
expanded (if not already). If a group of devices is being moved, only those devices that are
supported will be moved, and if there is not room for all of the devices, one or more may be left
behind.
