Drag and Drop Mitel 5000 Module in Mitel 5000 View
Mitel 5000 modules can be dragged and dropped within the Mitel 5000 platform, as shown
below. The following drag and drop locations in the Data Form Mitel 5000 view are supported
for Mitel 5000 modules:
Uninstalled bay
Installed bay
IP devices

To an Uninstalled Bay
Any installed Mitel 5000 module can be dragged and dropped into an uninstalled bay of the
Mitel 5000 platform, provided that the type of module is supported in that bay.
When a module is dragged/dropped into an uninstalled bay, the module and all associated ports
and devices are moved and the original bay becomes uninstalled.
To an Installed Bay
Any installed Mitel 5000 module can be dragged and dropped into an installed bay of the Mitel
5000 platform, provided that the dragged module is supported in the drop location and the
module in the drop location is also supported in the dragged-from location.
When a module is dragged/dropped into an installed bay, the modules are swapped, along with
all of their associated ports/devices.
To IP Devices
Any installed Mitel 5000 module with an associated device that can be converted to IP can be
dragged and dropped onto IP Devices, provided there is room for at least one device or device
pair to be converted to IP. If the IP device limit would be immediately exceeded, or if there are
no devices on the dragged module that can be converted to IP, the drop onto IP Devices is not
supported.
When an installed Mitel 5000 module is dragged/dropped onto IP Devices, all devices that can
be converted to IP are converted, until the IP device limit is reached. If no devices remain on
the dragged module, the dragged module is not uninstalled. You may manually uninstall the
empty module using the right-click menu, if desired.
