Optional: Installing an External USB Modem
The Axxess/5000 Modem Kit (part number 550.3026) has been updated to include a new
Universal Serial Bus (USB) to Asynchronous (ASYNC) cable (part number 813.1873) that
allows you to attach an external modem to the Mitel 5000 system. After all connections are
established, you can configure, manage, or debug the system through this modem connection.
For installation and troubleshooting information for the external modem, refer to the Modem Kit
Installation and Troubleshooting for Mitel 5000 and Inter-Tel Axxess document (part number
835.1621) included in the Modem Kit.
