12. Run this upgrade procedure on the PS-1 (CS-5600) server, if applicable to this site. This
is required if this site is using a PS-1 server.
13. Do either of the following:
• If you want to make the Inter-Tel IP endpoint firmware available on the internal
TFTP server, do the following:
a.) Click the System Management tab, and then click the System Upgrade link.
b.) Click Update at the bottom of the page.
c.) Select the check box for the Inter-Tel IP endpoint firmware.
d.) Click Install at the bottom of the page.
• If you want to remove voice prompts you do not need, click the link for the voice
prompt file name, and then click Remove.
14. Continue to “Install DB Programming” next.
Install DB Programming
Do the following:
1. Make sure Windows is running, and you have local administrative rights, then insert the
DB Programming CD into the computer CD-ROM drive.
2. Open the CD folders and click DATABASE_PROGRAMMING.
3. Click the version folder to be installed. For example, the V20 folder represents Version
2.0 Software. You may copy the DB Programming folder to your DB Programming
computer for emergency recovery.

NOTICE
Database Programming will notify you, the first time you connect after an upgrade, that the
gains for all trunks have been defaulted. Because the transmit and receive gains are Online
Monitor-only (OLM) fields, this warning only appears if the previous database version had
any non-default gain values.
