Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) Application Enhancements
The Mitel CS-5200 and CS-5400 servers are equipped with an LCD panel that displays system
information, important messages, and system settings. Version 3.0 includes the following
enhancements to the LCD application:
• The Automatic Diagnostics Delivery (ADD) Freeze option was added to the System menu.
See page 5-38.
• New messages, designed to safeguard flash memory and low-level firmware updates,
have been added. See page 5-39.
Licensing
For systems running Mitel 5000 v2.x software, v3.0 is a chargeable upgrade.
For details and part numbers not listed in this document, refer to the main installation manual.
Licensing is managed through Mitel Application Management Center (AMC). For information on
the AMC, see the AMC Help.
Feature Software Licenses
Refer to the Inter-Tel 5000 Features and Programming Guide (part number 580.8006) for
information on features that require a software license and for changes to the “Help\About Inter-
Tel Software License” dialog box.

Mitel 5000
With v3.0, you license the Mitel 5000 using the AMC. SIP peering for voice mail requires the
new SIP Peer Voice Mail License. The SIP Peer Voice Mail license is used for a connection to
the NuPoint Messenger external voice processing system.
New alarms are associated with this licensing. See “Message Print Messages and Alarms” on
page 1-4.
NuPoint Messenger
NuPoint Messenger requires a license that you obtain through the Application Management
Center (AMC). Refer to the NuPoint Messenger Technical Documentation Help, Release 3.0 on
the Mitel Web site
(http://edocs.mitel.com) for details about licensing. Refer to the AMC Help for
details about the Application Management Center.
Mitel Applications Suite
The MAS server requires a license that you obtain through the AMC. Refer to the Mitel
Applications Suite Installation and Maintenance Manual, Release 1.2 on the Mitel Web site
(http://edocs.mitel.com) for details about licensing.
Message Print Messages and Alarms
