3. Perform a database backup. For details, see page 5-96.
4. Perform a voice processor backup. For details, see page 5-91.
5. Power down the system and unplug the power cord. For details, see page 5-89.
6. Remove the memory card and insert the new memory card into the slot labeled
COMPACT FLASH, as shown in the following example.
7. Plug in the power cord.
8. Restore the database. For details see page 5-94.
9. Restore the voice processor database. See page 5-94 for details. By default, Basic
Voice Mail is enabled. If using an external voice processing system, you will need to
disable BVM after restoring the voice processor database. Use the Administration Web
pages to verify that Basic Voice Mail is disabled.
10. Check for any software updates and install them, if necessary. Although the larger
compact flash-type card has all the software included, always check for the latest
software updates to the system at the Mitel edGe Software Downloads Web site
(www.inter-tel.com/software). You will be prompted to reboot if a reboot is needed. If
using the Upgrade All option, the system will reboot automatically, if needed.
11. Reload the license file.
12. Access the Administrator Web Session pages and do the following:
a. Click the Advanced View link at the top of the window, and then navigate to the IP
Settings tab. Click the IP Access Control link in the navigation bar.
b. Enter any rules that were listed on this page prior to the upgrade.
