TFTP Server Configuration Example
This example provides information on some configuration settings for the Tftp32d TFTP server
(http://perso.wanadoo.fr/philippe.jounin/tftpd32.html). Depending on the TFTP server you are
using, these settings may be located in other dialog boxes or locations. Mitel does not provide
support for this TFTP server. It is shown here as an example only. For DB Programming
information discussed in this procedure, refer to the Mitel 5000 Features and Programming
Guide, part number 580.8006.
To set TFTP server properties:
1. Launch the TFTP server application and click the Settings button.

for files in C:\TFTP\current.
• Global Settings: TFTP Server and TFTP Client.
• DHCP Options: Ping address before assignation and Persistent leases.
• TFTP Security: Standard
• TFTP configuration: Leave at default settings.
• Advanced TFTP Options:
o Option negotiation
o Show Progress Bar: Displays file transfer information.
o Translate UNIX file names: Without this checked, the operation will fail.
o Allow ‘\’ As virtual root
3. Click OK, then restart the TFTP server application. The TFTP server must be running
before you attempt to upgrade the Mitel platform.
