Connecting Station Cables to a European System
Each type of station instrument is connected to a specific port on a DEM-16. Digital endpoints
are connected to DEM-16s. Single line endpoints and playback devices are connected to either
the built-in single line ports, or they can connect to Single-Line Adapters (SLA), which are in
turn connected to available DEM-16 ports
After the cables are run, connect them to the station blocks on the MDF. Ensure both ends of
each station cable are labeled with the circuit number of the associated station instrument. The
station cables are pre-terminated on the upper half of the Krone block. The line plant wiring
extension terminates on the lower half of the Krone block. See the following figures for BRM-S
