To complete an ADD freeze from the System Menu:
1. From the idle menu (Mitel 5000), press the down arrow button to navigate to the System
menu, and then the ADD Freeze option.
2. Press the center button to select the ADD Freeze option. The Are You Sure? prompt
appears.
3. Press the up arrow button to select Yes, and then press the center button to confirm
your selection. The ADD freeze request is sent to Call Processing and the Please Wait
message is displayed. Once the request has been sent the Success or Error message
is displayed.
A Success message indicates that the request was sent successfully.
An Error message indicates that ADD has not been configured or enabled in DB
Programming, or that a freeze is already in progress.
After approximately 10 seconds, you are returned to the System menu. The LCD
Application does not wait for the freeze operation to complete.
Troubleshooting
If an Error message appears on the LCD after you attempt to make a system change, examine
the Resource Command Handler (RCH) log files via the Administrative Web Session (AWS)
pages, to determine the cause of the error. You may need to adjust the level of logging and/or
reproduce the error message to view it in the log files.
The Log Files page is available for Mitel CS-5200/5400/5600 systems, however, the RCH log
file applies to base servers only.
To view the RCH log files:
1. Open a Web browser and navigate to the Mitel Administrative Web pages. The Enter
Network Password dialog box appears.
2. Type your User Name and Password in the text boxes and click OK. The Home page
appears.
3. If you are currently viewing the Web pages for the Processing Server, click Switch to
Base Server.
4. Click the Logging navigation tab. The Log Files page appears.
5. Click the link to the RCH log file to open it and view the contents. Messages from the
LCD application begin with LCD APP.
NOTE
If you select No, the ADD freeze is not completed and the LCD application
returns to the System menu.
