Erasing the Phone’s Local Configuration
You can reset the IP Phone’s local configuration if required. The local configuration is the last updated configuration you
performed using the IP Phone UI or the Mitel Web UI. Performing this action results in losing all recently user-modified set-
tings. For more information about local configuration, see Chapter 1, the section, “Configuration File Precedence” on
page1-18.

IP Phone UI
For the 6863i/6865i:
1.
Press on the phone to enter the Options List.
2. Select Administrator Menu and enter your Administrator Password (default is 22222).
3. Select Erase Local Config.
4. The “Erase local config?” prompt displays.
Press # to confirm.
For the 6867i/6869i:
1.
Press on the phone to enter the Options List.
2. Press the Advanced softkey.
3. Enter the Administrator password and press Enter. Default is “22222”.
4.
Navigate to the Reset option and press the button or Select softkey.
5.
Select Erase Local Cfg. using the button or press the Select softkey.
The phone immediately erases the local configuration on the phone and the phone reboots.
Mitel Web UI
1. Click on Operation->Reset->Current Settings.
2. In the "Remove Local Configuration Settings" field, click Remove.
This removes the last customized configuration settings made on the phone.
