Chapter 9 Neighboring Zones

In the General Properties tab, the following properties appear:
Zone Settings
In the Zone Settings page, define the local 5700 VFA intercommunication
relationship with the neighboring zone. This relationship includes permission to
make and receive calls, generation of CDR reports, and the use of prefixes when
dialing.
Zone - Zone Settings Properties
Zone Prefix Directory number (E.164 number) assigned to the
5700 VFA or Gatekeeper. The zone prefix functions as
an “area code,” which may be used by the 5700 VFA to
dial nodes in the selected zone (to enable zone prefix
dialing, see the next section, “Zone Settings”).
Description Identifying name of the zone. This name will appear in
the Main View.

Address
IP address of the zone’s 5700 VFA or Gatekeeper.
