RTC processor 450 MHz Prior to release 6.0, all LX systems used 450 MHz processors with
256 MB of memory. From release 6.0 the RTC module uses 512 MB
of memory. Memory and core speed are displayed in the Hardware
Compute Cards form in the System Administration Tool. Minimum
of 512MB RAM and 450MHz is required.

IP Devices 1400 As the number of IP devices is increased, especially beyond 700
(with office traffic), TDM devices, analog trunks, voice mail, and

increased to 1200 (6 peripheral cabinets) using Flexible
Dimensioning, or double that with extended peripheral cabinets.
Verify any installations that go beyond the nominal configuration

Total devices 1500 The total number of IP plus TDM devices should not exceed the
value shown with maximum IP devices installed, or 1.5 times the IP
limit with fewer IP devices, under typical office traffic conditions.
ACD users

(100 IP, 250 DNI)
To install the maximum number of ACD users will require the
maximum number of digital trunks and DSP resources. The number
of IP ACD agents can be increased to 350 by off loading all of the
TDM functions to dedicated gateways (Net ACD), or the number of
DNI agents can be increased to 350 by eliminating IP agents. If you
mix IP and DNI ACD agents, the limit is 100 IP and 250 DNI. The
total number of active ACD agents might have to be reduced on an
installation because of performance limitations, based on high
traffic or other installed applications.
Echo canceller

IP gateway (E2T)
128 Echo cancellation is done by hardware on the echo canceller MMC
in the system (slot 5) and cannot be expanded. The E2T conversion
is done in the E2T processor and is also limited to the same
number.
Conference
channels
64 Conference channels in the LX are a fixed allocation. Each
conference may have from three to eight members but the total
number of conferees cannot exceed the allowed maximum.
Voice Mail 30 The default system configuration is 20VM session. The LX can
expand to 30VM sessions using available DSP resources although,
at heavy traffic, more DSP resources may be needed.
Compression
channels
64 G.729a compression is not a standard offering on base systems.
Additional DSP resources are needed to achieve the values shown.
Compression is added in blocks of 8 bi-directional channels in each
DSP device.
Record-a-Call 12 Every Record-a-Call session uses a conference resource and a
voice mail session from the available pool. The maximum number
of simultaneous sessions supported is 12, but may be limited to less
than this by the available resources.
