Support of solution by external DHCP servers
Some variations in external DHCP server configuration behavior are expected. They are as
follows:
Options 66 and 67 are used when an external DHCP server boots the internal gateway on
the 3300 ICP LX platform. Certain workstations (without built in operating systems) also
use these options to boot. Ensure that these options are visible only on the voice VLAN to
which the 3300 ICP is connected. Data devices should be on a separate VLAN with a
separate DHCP server, or “scope” setting.
DHCP options cannot be added to a WIN 2003-based DHCP server unless Service Pack
1 (SP1) is installed.
The customer determines which vendor-specific method to use, option 60/43 or options
124/125. The decision may be based on administrator preference or by constraints imposed
by existing servers (e.g. which options they more readily support). The option 124/125
method is preferred since it is more flexible and future-proof.

Voice VLAN ID (132) Vlan Integer IEEE 802.1Q VLAN ID (0 - 4095)
Voice L2 Priority (133) l2p Integer IEEE 802.1Q/D L2 priority value
(0 - 7)

and MiNET signalling.
Voice appliance HTTP Proxy (135) app_proxy FQDN:port 1 FQDN (port optional), FQDN

Note: If the customer DHCP servers are not able to support either option 60/43 or option
124/125 exchanges, then the customer must either configure their external DHCP
servers using the old option 128-135 range, or use the Mitel ICP-embedded DHCP
servers.
