IEEE 802.3af Power Over Ethernet standard (PoE)
Table 36 can be used to determine which 802.3af power class advertisement a phone will
transmit to the controller or L2 switch.
5330 with 1 PKM 7.5 W
5330 with 2 PKMs 9.2 W
5330e 6.1 W
5340 6.1 W
5340e 6.1 W
5340 with 1 PKM 7.5 W
5340 with 2 PKMs 9.2 W
5360 9.5 W
5505 6.1 W
5540 6.1 W
5560 IPT 6.1 W
Navigator 6.1 W
TeleMatrix 3000 IP 5.0 W
UC360 5.0 W
Note 1: The Gigabit Ethernet phone stand does not transmit CDP power advertisements, however, the stand
allows the phone’s CDP power advertisements to be passed through to the network.
Note 2: See “Power Restrictions” on page 67. for information about power restrictions related to the Gigabit
Ethernet Phone Stand.
Note 3: These advertised values assume that a 3300 Power Dongle is used with the phones, and the power
requirements shown in the table include the power required by both the phone and the 3300 Power Dongle.
Note: The CXi controller uses 802.3af power call advertisements to determine phone
power requirements, however the CXi II actually measures the power required by the
phones.
