102 Personalizing Phone Usage through the Web
4. Click Import.
Note that it may take several minutes to complete.
To properly import your contacts through a CSV file, note the following:
You can import 1000 Contacts maximum.
The total number of contact addresses (phone numbers) cannot exceed
5000 for all Contacts. The maximum number of addresses per contact cannot
exceed 50.
A record consists of a contact name “Contact” and multiple addresses
“Labels” and “Values” (phone numbers).
The “Contact” name is extracted from a field heading in the CSV file called
“Identifier” (recommended)
If there is no “Identifier” field, silhouette looks for a first and last name
headings and concatenate them (recommended)
The feature searches for one of the 4 key-word identifiers in this order and
combination:
1. Identifier
2. First Name and Last Name
3. First Name
4. Last Name
5. Company Name
If no key-word identifiers are found, then the import fails.
A contact address contains a “Label” that is the phone number type column
heading
A contact address contains a “Value” that is the phone number underneath
the heading for each contact
There are two possible formats: Import Personal Contacts Using the silhouette Format
