e. Press the # key. The display will show:
where xxx is the extension of your phone.
You have now successfully activated the phone, and can make calls.
Telematrix 3000 IP phone
Activate the Telematrix IP phone with the following procedure:
1. If your network is configured with Power Over Ethernet (POE), connect one end of the
Ethernet cable to your network LAN jack and the other to the LAN port on the phone.
2. If the network is not configured for POE, do the following.
a. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable into your network LAN jack and the other end
to the LAN port of the power pack.
b. Connect an Ethernet cable from the phone port of the power pack to the LAN
port of the phone.
c. Connect the phone power pack into a power outlet.
3. If required, connect an Ethernet cable from the PC port on the phone to the PC network port.
4. Wait until the Message Waiting Indicator shuts off.
5. Pick up the handset and dial *00 to login to the phone.
6. Enter your extension number.
7. Enter your PIN number, followed by the pound (#) key. Log in is successful with the dial tone.
8. If you hear a fast busy tone, you have logged in incorrectly. Hang up and return to step 5.
You have successfully activated the phone and can now make calls.
Customizing your phone system
If you used the quick start procedures, your phone system is working using default settings.
Now you should customize these to suit your company’s personality and image. The following
guide directs you to the various procedures to help you customize your system:
Do you want call permissions to change depending on the time of day?
This is useful if you want to allow long distance or international calls only during regular business
hours. To do this you must setup your business hours and permission profiles appropriately.
