1.5 Power Management

The MiTAC 8081 system has built in several power saving modes to prolong the battery usage for mobile purpose.

User can enable and configure different degrees of power management modes via ROM CMOS setup (booting by

pressing F2 key). Following are the descriptions of the power management modes supported.

1.5.1 System Management Mode

1.5.1.1 Full On Mode

In this mode, each devices is running with the maximal speed. CPU clock is up to its maximum.

1.5.1.2 Doze Mode

In this mode, CPU will be toggling between on & stop grant mode either. The technology is clock throttling. This can

save battery power without loosing much computing capability.

The CPU power consumption and temperature is lower in this mode.
