ISU Ass’y Availability (Service Parts)
e are making the ISU Ass’y available as a Service Part. The ISU Ass’y is a component of the Scanner
Ass’y. Please follow the procedure below when replacing the ISU Ass’y.
Note: You will need two Positioning Pins when replacing the ISU Ass'y.

1. Remove two (2) screws and remove the Upper Right Cover.
2. Remove the Contact Glass. Do not to touch the Shading Plate and/or the rear side of the Contact Glass.

3. Loosen the four (4) screws labeled "A". (Fig. 1)
4. Remove the four (4) screws labeled "B” and remove the Upper ISU Cover.
5. Next remove four (4) screws labeled “C” and detach the Scanner ROM Lid.
6. Disconnect the two (2) Connectors.
7. Remove the four (4) screws and lift the ISU Ass'y to remove it. (Fig. 2)
8. Install the new ISU Ass'y.
9. To adjust the ISU Ass'y fit the two (2) Positioning Pins. (Fig. 2)
10. Secure the ISU Ass'y using the four (4) screws removed in step 7.
11. Remove the two (2) Positioning Pins.
12. Reinstall all remaining parts in the reverse order.
Adjustment (Please refer to the Service Manual for details.)
Perform the positioning adjustment for the ISU installation.
Run Maintenance Mode "U092" for adjusting the scanner section automatically.
