Preventing Damage to the Deck Motor Coupler
n rare cases, damage can occur to the Deck Motor Coupler which is part of the Deck Motor Ass’y. Previously the
Coupler was not available separately. We will now make it available as a Service Part that can be replaced in the
field if necessary.

Preventing Premature Failure of the Heat Roller
he PFA tubing on the Fixing Unit Heat Roller
surface may prematurely peel off.
This occurs when a small amount of toner
accumulates between the Heat Roller and the
Thermistor causing the fixing temperature to
increase.
We will make two changes to prevent this
problem from occurring.
1. Thickness of the sponge that is located on the
area where the Heat Roller and the Thermistor
meet will be increased from 2.0 mm to 3.0
mm.
2. The thickness of the Leaf Spring will be
increased from 0.1 mm to 0.15 mm.
