IMPORTANT: THE ROTOR MUST NOT BE FITTED WHEN MOVING OR
DURING TRANSIT
Remove the centrifuge from its packing and place it on a rigid Ievel surface. The
location of the control panel, lid lock access hole, mains power switch and mains
fuses are shown in Fig. 1A.
Check that the available power supply corresponds to that stated on the rating plate
located at the rear of the instrument, (see Fig. 1B).
It is important that at least 75 mm ciearance is allowed at the sides and rear of the
centrifuge when in final operating position, (see Fig. 2).
220/240V INSTRUMENT - connect the 3-core cable to a 3-pin plug, fitted with a
5 Amp fuse (Mistral 1000) or a 7 Amp fuse (Mistral 2000), as follows:
Brown wire to Live (L) terminal
Blue wire to Neutral (N) terminal
Yellow/green wire to Earth (E) terminal
120V INSTRUMENT - supplied with fitted plug.
A restraint kit, to secure the centrifuge to a sound work surface, is available. It
consists of four anchor brackets, positioned at each corner of the machine base,
which are bolted or screwed to the work surface, (see Fig. 3).

COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT WILL CAUSE A 'TACHO
SIGNAL LOSS' ERROR TO BE DISPLAYED. REFER TO TABLE 2,
PAGE 22 IF THIS OCCURS.
