Deadbolt Lock Installation
Step 1 : Adjust Latch Backset

Step 2 : Install Latch into the door
Step 3 : Install Lock body
Step 4 : Install Strike
To adjust the backset from 2-3/8" to 2-3/4" follow these steps.

Retract the latch bolt.
Hold the latch tail and
rotate the faceplate
towards you.
Rotate the latch faceplate
away from you and check
to see if the notch is at
the 2-3/4" mark.
Once the notch is in
the groove, pull the
latch faceplate away
from the latch tail.

To adjust the backset from 2-3/4" to 2-3/8" follow these steps.
Retract the latch bolt.
Hold the latch tail and
rotate the faceplate
towards you.
Rotate the latch faceplate
away from you and check
to see if the notch is at
the 2-3/8" mark.
Once the notch is in
the groove, push the
latch faceplate towards
the latch tail.

Install Latch into door positioned so that wedged shaped side of Bolt engages
the strike first when closing the door
Install Strike and test lock
Adjust Strike position if necessary, for firm Closure.
Align Torque Blade to Pass Horizontally through Latch Cross Shaped crank
Press Lock Exterior into Latch with the key hole on the bottom as shown and the receivers (Female Thread)
for the screws aligned with the holes in the latch
Install the interior of the lock by inserting it over the Torque blade and pressing Flush to the door. Align
Screw holes with Slots in the Latch.
Insert screws through holes in the interior Plate and latch into the exterior body and tighten down with a
hand-held screwdriver.
