b) In the IR CONTROLLER PORT column, in the same row, specify the IR controller input port
associated with this DVR.
c) In the ELECTRONIC PROGRAM GUIDE column, in the same row, specify the JavaScript
function prefix of the recording macro associated with this DVR (see "Retrieving a DVRs
Recording Macro Prefix", on page 95).
d) In the PDU ID column, in the same row, specify the ID of the power distribution unit
(PDU) serving this tuner.
e) In the PDU OUTLET column, in the same row, specify the PDU outlet number serving this
tuner.
f) In the RECORD DURATION column, in the same row, specify the maximum time during
which the associated DVR will record a video stream after an error is detected.
13. In the VIRTUAL DEVICE (VIRTUAL PROBE) area, perform the following sub-steps for each
virtual device:
a) In the ID column of the first blank row, specify an ID string representing either a Densité
card or an EdgeVision input that will probe signals from a cycling set-top box.
b) In the REAL DEVICE ID column, in the same row, specify the associated Densité card ID or
EdgeVision Input port.
c) In the CYCLER ID column, in the same row, specify a common cycler ID for each pair of
audio and video probes (i.e. a pair of probes that are meant to process video and audio
signals from the same channel must be associated with the same cycler ID).
14. In the CYCLER area, perform the following sub-steps for each cycler listed in the VIRTUAL
DEVICE section:
a) In the ID column of the first blank row, specify an ID string for the cycler (see step 13).
b) In the POLLING PERIOD column, in the same row, specify the appropriate polling period
for the channel lineup that will be associated with a given cycling set-top box.
c) In the SETTLING TIME column, in the same row, specify the appropriate settling time (in
seconds) for the channel lineup that will be associated with a given cycling set-top box.
d) In the DURATION and OCCURRENCES columns, in the same row, specify appropriate
alarm debouncing parameters for this cycler.
Note: The ID for each DVR across the entire iControl Edge configuration should be
unique (e.g.
DVR1, DVR2, etc.).
