a) In the ID column of the first blank row, specify an ID string for the GC-100 network
adapter.
b) In the IP column, in the same row, specify this GC-100 network adapter’s IP address.
c) In the APP SERVER ID column, in the same row, specify the associated Application
Server’s ID.
8. In the GC100 IR PORT area, perform the following sub-steps for each infrared port of each
GC100 network adapter device:
a) In the ID column of the first blank row, specify an ID string for the IR port of the
associated GC-100 device.
b) In the PORT column, in the same row, specify the port number of this IR port.
c) In the STB column, in the same row, specify the specific remote control device
associated with the appropriate STB device.
d) If an iC Web page (MPF file) exists on the Application Server under
EDGE/Web_pages,
representing the desired remote control used with a specific set-top box or DVR model,
enter this file name in the REMOTE CONTROL PAGE column.
9. If you are using one or more EdgeVision devices in your setup, in the EDGEVISION area,
perform the following sub-steps for each EdgeVision device:
a) In the ID column of the first blank row, specify an ID string for the EdgeVision device.
b) In the ENABLE column, in the same row, type
YES.
c) In the IP column, in the same row, type the IP address of the EdgeVision device.
d) In the UNIT NAME column, in the same row, type the unit name for this EdgeVision
device.
IMPORTANT: Do not deviate from the default values for TYPE (GC100), ENABLE (YES), and
PORT (
4998).
Note: The ID for each GC-100 network adapter across the entire iControl Edge
configuration should be unique (e.g.
GC1001, GC1002, etc.).
IMPORTANT: Do not deviate from the default values for TYPE (GC100_PORT), ENABLE (YES),
and GC100 ID (
GC1001).
Notes
• Type the exact file name of the Web page into this cell of the worksheet
(e.g.
RemoteControl_Elegants_4400.mpf).
•If you leave the REMOTE CONTROL PAGE cell blank, iControl Edge will display
the generic remote control.
IMPORTANT: Do not deviate from the default value for TYPE (EDGEVISION).
Note: If at any time you would like to temporarily disable the device, do so by typing
NO in this cell of the spreadsheet.
