Installation and Setup
iControl Edge is a distributed system, which may entail installing hardware at more than one
location. An iControl Edge Application Server is usually installed at each head end, with a
number of set-tops and IR network adapters, Densité probes, and an Allégro. This section
describes the physical setup of the iControl Edge hardware, as well as the configuration of
network settings and other software parameters.

Input A set-top box output that is used as an input to the iControl Edge system.
DVR A set-top box that is also a digital video recorder.
