Configuring Spreadsheet Inheritance
To configure spreadsheet inheritance
1. In the
Locations.xls spreadsheet of your head-end Application Server, click the
Locations tab.
2. In the IP column for all rows, type the IP address corresponding to the intended master
Application Server.
3. In the HOSTNAME column for all rows, type the host name corresponding to the intended
master Application Server.
4. Click the Services tab.
5. Take note of all the cycling paths in the CYCLING PATH ID column.
6. Click the Paths tab.
7. Define all cycling paths you noted in step 5:
a) In the ID column, type the CYCLING PATH ID value from the Services tab.
b) In the TYPE column, type
STB_CYCLING.
c) In the ENABLE column, type
YES.
REQUIREMENTS
Make sure you meet the following conditions before beginning this procedure:
• You have downloaded the
Locations.xls spreadsheet from the intended head-end
Application Server (see "Downloading the iControl Edge Configuration Spreadsheets",
on page 82)
• If you intend on managing Densité services of one or more hub Application Servers from
the head-end, you have downloaded the configuration spreadsheets from the head-end
Application Server.
• You have, on hand, the IP address, host name, and ID of your intended head-end
Application Server.
