Main Features Overview
The Imagestore 750 Dolby encode/decode options provide an integrated,
compact and flexible “Dolby encode-/decode-capable” 1RU channel
branding box. With Dolby decodes and encodes being done internally within
the Imagestore unit, it is possible to mix/cross-fade between Dolby inputs and
apply PCM voice-overs before encoding back to Dolby audio.
The Dolby options provide the following main features:
• Up to four modular Dolby Encoders or Decoders
• Dolby data carried on:
o Embedded in SDI video
o AES stereo pair
• PCM (baseband, uncompressed) audio to Dolby data conversion
• Metadata handling
o Metadata AB-switching synchronously with audio AB-mix
o 4 x RS485 serial metadata I/O connections
o User-defined Metadata presets
o Internal adjustable Metadata sources
• Monitors audio input status and reports on front panel
o PCM, Dolby E or Dolby Digital
• Audio type status bits in AES and embedded SDI audio
o “Audio” / “Non-Audio”
• Integral video delays provide video delay compensation
• No additional video reference
o Existing bi-level or tri-level reference signal is used
• Imagestore 750 GPIs are available for control
• Automation commands are available for control
• 1RU overall video/audio solution
• Windows GUI application for setup of audio configurations
