1.6 Front Card-edge Interface
The front card-edge of the IRD-3111 incorporates two elements:
• Status LED (see section 3.2)
• Select Button (see section 3.3)
The CAM module and tuner are not shown in this view.

1.7 Physical Layout – IRD-3111 with Tuner and CAM modules
The IRD-3111 consists of a base IRD-
3111 card with a tuner module (either
ATSC or DVB-S2) and, optionally, a
conditional access module (CAM).
• The tuner is installed at the rear of
the card, with its RF input
available on the rear panel of the
Densité frame.
• The CAM is installed at the front of
the card, so that the smart card
can be inserted from the front of
the Densité frame.
