Signs and Symptoms of Over Exposure:
Eyes: Material is ocular irritant & may cause cornea damage. Healing is usu-
ally complete if first aid measures have been promptly initiated.
Skin: may cause irritation to skin.
Ingestion: may cause systemic poisoning and cause severe damage to the
esophagus and stomach. May cause hypocalcemia, possibly fatal.
Inhalation: Irritation, may cause coughing & difficult breathing. Excessive
inhalation may cause systemic poisoning.
Medical conditions aggravated: Hypocalcemia, liver or kidney diseases.
Signs and symptoms of over exposure: Pain in throat, esophagus and stom-
ach.
Emergency and First Aid Procedures:
Eyes: Promptly flush plenty of water, lifting eyelids occasionally to facilitate
irrigation. Continue for at least 15 minutes.
Skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water. Then flush with water. Remove
clothing upon contamination and wash before reuse.
Ingestion: do not induce vomiting. Get prompt medical attention. Speed is
essential.
Inhalation: remove victim to fresh air. If exposure to dust or mist was
severe, get medical attention.
Section 7 - Precautions For Safe Handling And Use
Steps to be taken in case material is released or spilled: Promptly sweep or
shovel material into an empty container, avoiding dusty conditions. Label
container “poison” & close for later use or disposal. Complete clean-up by
flushing residue with plenty of water, skin and eye protection should be
used.
Waste disposal method: If permitted by applicable disposal regulations,
dispose of waste product via a secure solid waste landfill or dissolve in
large quantity of water and discharge to sewer, stepwise if necessary.
Precautions to be taken in handling and storing: Store in a cool, dry place,
away from food or feed products. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not
get in eyes, skin, clothing. Keep container closed. Do not ingest.
Other precautions: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Follow directions on
the container for proper use of this product.

Respiratory protection: Ventilate by opening all doors and windows. If
exposure above the TLV or PELrequire a NIOSH approved respirator
equipped for the exposure or suitable respiratory protection per
29 CFR 1910.134 is required.

Eye protection: Tight fitting, splash proof safety glasses or goggles.
Other protective Clothing or equipment: chemical resistant clothing.
Work hygienic practices: Wash hands thoroughly before handling food
stuffs, liquids or tobacco products. Use common sense and care around
chemicals. Never mix this product with other chemicals. Consult your super-
visor for all other hygienic and safety practices. All practices depend on
your specific business. Directions for use normally found on label which will
dictate engineering and control measures.
