Methods for Containment
Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Contain and soak up with inert
absorbent material.
Methods for Clean-Up
Use clean non-sparking tools to collect absorbed material. Scoop up and place in a proper
waste disposal method: Dispose of in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
For waste disposal, see section 13 of the SDS.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Precautions for safe handling
Advice on Safe Handling
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash face, hands,
and any exposed skin thoroughly after handling. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing
and eye/face protection. Avoid breathing vapors or mists. Use only with adequate
ventilation. Keep cool. Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces. — No
smoking. Ground/bond container and receiving equipment. Keep container tightly closed.
Use spark-proof tools and explosion-proof equipment. Take precautionary measures
against static discharges.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Storage Conditions
Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. Do not freeze, less than or equal to 32°F or
heat above 110°F. Keep out of the reach of children. Keep container tightly closed. Store in
a well-ventilated place. Store locked up.
Incompatible Materials
Strong oxidizers. Reducing agents.
