What’s the difference between solvent based
and water based?
Both are vehicles that take the protection (silicone and or
polymers) into the substrate. Solvents work much better for
this as they can penetrate the denser materials like polished
granites and even porcelain tile where water base cannot
penetrate these denser surfaces.
Are there better sealants for showers?
Miracle recommends using solvent base sealers for use
in the shower.
Are there better sealants for floors?
Miracle recommends using solvent base sealers for
use on floors.
Are there better sealants for counter tops / food
prep areas?
As long as it is food safe we recommend the best performing
511 product for the particular tile or stone.
Do you apply enhancers first, then seal?
or vice versa?
When using 511 Seal & Enhance the product is sealer and color
enhancer in one. So you use the product as you would any other
impregnator. Seal prior to grouting as a grout release. Seal after
grout has been removed to protect grout.
With Mira Matte you would use 511 Impregnator as a grout
release prior to applying Mira Matte. After the grout haze has
been completely removed, apply Mira Matte as directed.
Will the 511 products make the surface slippery?
No. All surfaces treated will be less slippery. 511 Anti-Slip is
specifically designed for this purpose.
