SentryPlus Installation

SentryPlus Setup:

1. Place the SentryPlus CD in your CD-ROM drive. The Install Shield will automatically start

and guide you through the setup procedure.

2. Check the communication type of your UPS. If you select the USB option you must have

connected the UPS to this computer. The OS will find the new hardware. Simply follow

the prompts to install the HID driver.

3. During the installation, the following dialog gives you 5 options:

 Program File: Files contain SentryPlus Service, SentryPlus Monitor and this on-line

help.

 Audio Files: Some .wav files. These files will be played to notify you when power event

occurs.

 SNMP Files: SentryPlus SNMP DLL file.

4. After finishing the installation, the setup program will create a SentryPlus association.

The SentryPlus software is comprised of two modules:

 A UPS Monitoring Module (SentryPlus Status), which runs in the background as a

Windows NT Service and communicates to the UPS.

 A User Interface Module (SentryPlus Monitor), which enables you to control and

configure SentryPlus through the drop down menus and dialog boxes. It also allows

you to monitor the UPS through the Main Screen.

Setup: To modify, repair or remove SentryPlus from your hard disk.

SentryPlus Monitor: User interface, used to monitor and configure UPS.

SentryPlus Status: SentryPlus Status program, used to communicate with your UPS.
