Problem Cause Remedy
The subject in the picture is too dark Not enough light for the shot Switch on the flash
The subject in the picture is too light Subject is too close, flash is too
strong
Increase the distance to the subject
Light falling directly on the subject
or is reflected from the subject onto
the camera
Change the angle of the shot
The flash is switched on and is
possibly not required
Switch the flash off
White dots appear on the image The flash light is reflected by dust
particles or insects in the air
This is unfortunately a familiar effect
and is not due to faulty functioning of
the camera
(This is particularly evident when
shooting with flash)
There are marks and imperfections
on the image
Dirty lens Clean the lens using the MINOX

The flash does not trigger The flash is switched off Switch the flash on
