SELF-
TIMER
The
electronic
self-timer
built
into
your
XG-9 can
be
used
to
delay release of
the
shutter
for
about
10
seconds
after
actuation.
To
operate
it:
1, Advance
the
film.
2. With
the
shutter-speed/function
selector
at
a
setting
other
than
"8,"
move
the
main
switch
to
align
the
index with SELF-
TIMER.
3. Depress
the
operating
button.
The blinking
light
on
the
front
of
the
camera will indicate
the
delay has been started.
Approximately
2.5
secs. before
the
exposure
is
made,
the
indicator will blink faster
to
signal
the
end
of
the
delay. You may cancel
the
self-timer
by
moving
the
main switch
to
"
OFF"
.
NOTE
•
After
using
the
. self-timer be sure
to
move
the
main switch from
the
"SELF
-
TIMER"
setting.
•
In
automatic
mode,
the
self-timer will
cancel
if
exposure
conditions
exceed
the
upper
range
of
the
matering system. Opera-
tion
will resume when
apertu
re
or
othe
r
conditions
are adjusted so
that
exposure
conditions
are within metering range.
