8.10 Receiving Documents (POP3 Reception)

Receiving Internet faxes

G The network settings must be specified. → Refer to page 3-3.

If the “Auto-RX Check” parameter is set to “Check OFF”, an Internet

fax cannot be received. The factory settings is “Check OFF”.

Therefore, in order to automatically receive Internet faxes, specify a

time interval for the “Auto-RX Check” parameter.

G The received documents can be printed or saved in a box. Refer to

“Specifying the procedure for received documents (“Doc. Manage.”

function)” on page 13-33.

G If the “Auto-RX Check” parameter is set to “Check OFF” or if you wish

to immediately receive the fax, the fax can be received manually.

G The setting for specifying the answering method for fax settings in the

Administrator Management screen is available only when sending

faxes on a common telephone line. It is not available when receiving

Internet faxes.

Manually receiving faxes

1 Press the [Utility] key.

2 Touch [User Management].

3 Touch [POP3 RX].

If there are e-mail messages

at the POP3 server, the e-

mail messages are received.

While e-mail messages are

being received, appears.
