Installing the printer driver

To install the printer driver using the Add Printer Wizard under
Windows 2000

Turn on the PC

After Windows starts, insert the CD-ROM that came with your printer
into your PC’s CD-ROM drive.

Choose [Start], point to “Settings,” and then choose “Printers.”

Double-click the “Add Printer” icon.
5 Click [Next].

Select “Local Printer.”
❍ Do not check the “Automatically detect and install my Plug and
Play printer” box.

Choose [Next].

Choose the “Use the following port:” button, select the port you want
to use, and then choose [Next].
If you are using a parallel connection, select “LPTx:” (x=1, 2, etc.).
If you are using a USB connection, select “USB001.”

Choose [Have Disk], and then choose [Browse].

Browse the CD-ROM and navigate to “Win2000.”

Choose [Open].

Choose [OK], and then choose [Next].
13 Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

Check that the “MINOLTA-QMS PagePro 1250W” printer icon is dis-
played in the Printers dialog box.

Remove the CD-ROM from your PC’s CD-ROM drive. This completes
the installation of the printer driver.
