8-31Troubleshooting Printer Problems
2 Locate the tag matrix that is affixed inside on the left side
frame.
n If your printer has the 1-3 engine ROM (and the color density
feature), the letter “A” and the number “3” are blocked in.
n If these characters aren’t blocked in, then your printer doesn’t
have the 1-3 engine ROM. To find out how to acquire it, con-
tact your QMS vendor, see appendix A, “QMS Customer Sup-
port,” for product sales and service information.
