Verifying the Serial Setting Changes
1 Turn the printer off and on again to produce a start-up page.
2 Compare the serial port settings listed on the start-up page
to those in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
3 Try the communication test again.
If a blank page ejects from the printer, the printer and the PC are
communicating. If a blank page doesn’t eject and you typed the file
correctly, refer to your DOS documentation for more information.

Testing Macintosh Communication
You can check communication between the printer selected in the
Chooser and the Macintosh by sending a file to the printer from an
application (see your application documentation for more information)
or by printing a directory, as described here:
1 Display a disk or folder window.
