ATTACHING
MEASUREMENT HEADS
1. Incident-light
measurement
For taking
incident-light
readings, hold the
meter
at the
subject
position
with the spherical
diffuser
pointed
directly
towards
the camera.
Since
the
diffuser
should
receive
the
same
illumlnation
as
the
subject, the
meter's receptor
head rotates up to
270"
to make it
easier to
take
readings.
A spherical
diffuser is supplied
with
the Flash
Meter lV
and should
be attached
when making
incident-light
readings.
To
take
readings
of
extremely
bright
flash
or
continuous
light
sources,
the optional
4X or
8X
spherical ND
diffuser can
be used.
For
determining lighting
ratios, the
optional
flat
diffuser
can
be
attached.
o
For
macrophotography and
close-up
photography,
the optional
Mini Receptor
plugs
into the socket on
the side of the
Flash
Meter lV's
receptor head. This
receptor can
be used
to
measure
ambient
and/or
flash
light in
positions
inaccessible
for
the entire
meter body.
To attach
diffuser:
Align
the dot on
the diffuser
with the
bayonet
