10-4. Intensity Correction
(1) Because of the nature of the Lens, the intensity of the LA1 light after
passing through the Lens tends to be higher at the center and lower
toward both ends. To solve this problem, there is a Lens Aperture Cover
installed at the back of the Lens. It limits the amount of light at the center
to ensure that an even amount of light strikes the surface of the PC Drum.
(2) When a zoom ratio is large, it results in the intensity of light striking the
surface of the PC Drum decreasing. The following exposure corrections
are made according to the zoom ratio to correct this problem. (Particular
correction ratios are set for different zoom ratios and used to increase
the Lamp voltage. The same correction ratios are used for both the Auto
and Manual Exposure modes.)
