Pre-Cleaning Erase Lamp LA5 is made up of 64 LEDs.

The ON/OFF timing of LA5 is in synchronism with that of Pre-Image
Transfer Erase Lamp LA4.
•
LA5 is turned ON and OFF by the signal output from pin 89 of IC4A on
Master Board PWB-A.
<LA5 ON Timing>
LA5 turns ON approx. 450 msec. after PC Drum Drive Motor M5 has been
energized (p. M-26).
<LA5 OFF Timing>
LA5 turns OFF approx. 890 msec. after Scanner Control Processor Board
PWB-J has output an SCEND signal.
