Connecting the printer to a computer (parallel port)

Switch off the printer and the
computer.

Connect one end of the
interface cable to the parallel
port of your computer.

Connect the other end of the
interface cable to the parallel
port of the printer.

Secure the connector by
means of the clips on the
socket.

CAUTION
Using the wrong type of cable may result in damage to the
equipment!
Using the wrong type of cable may damage the socket on the printer.
Ü Only use an IEEE 1284 type B shielded interface cable for connecting
the printer to your computer.
Ü MINOLTA-QMS does not warrant the use of any particular cable. The
user assumes all responsibility as to the quality and performance of
the cable.
