3.4 Installing the printer driver using the installer (Auto
Run) under Windows
The CD-ROM supplied with the printer starts automatically after being
loaded into the CD-ROM drive of your PC. You are guided step-by-step
through the installation procedure.

Turn on the PC.

After Windows starts, insert the CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive of your
PC.
The installation program starts automatically.

What if the installation program does not start up automatically?
➜ In Windows Explorer browse to the CD-ROM directory. Then
double-click “setup.exe” to start the installation program.
3 Follow the instructions for the installation program.
❍ If a dialog box allowing you to select whether to install printer tools
displays, check the “Printer tools” box if you want to install the Sta-
tus Monitor and the Printer Control Panel. Then choose [OK] to dis-
play the next step.
❍ Once the printer driver has been successfully installed, the
“MINOLTA-QMS PagePro 1250E” printer icon displays in the
Printers dialog box.
❍ If Printer tools was installed, restart the PC.
