Multiple copies of a
multipage document
in the ADF are
incomplete.
n Increase the Display List memory client.
» Note: Refer to the “Memory” section of
chapter 5, “Additional Technical Information,” of the
Reference manual for more information.
Printer is too slow
n Change the default resolution to a lower setting.
For optimum performance, change the default res-
olution to 600 dpi. For high-speed copying, set the
default resolution to 300 dpi.
Copy Key Not
Installed displays
in the printer message

n Check to see if the copy key is installed correctly
on the printer.
Copier Not
Connected displays
in the printer message
window
n Check to see if the scanner’s Ready LED is on.
n Check for the SCSI cable connection on both ends.
n Check to see if there is a terminator at the end of
the SCSI chain.
n Make sure the SCSI port is set to 5.
n If the scanner’s Paper Jam LED is on, turn both
the scanner and printer off and back on again.
Scan Error displays
in the printer message

n Check to see if the scanner’s Ready LED is on.
n Check to see if there is a paper jam in the ADF. If
so, clear the jam and turn the scanner off and
back on.
n If the scanner’s Paper Jam LED is on, turn the
scanner off and back on again.
Not Enough Mem
displays in the
printer message
window
n Check to see if the scanner’s minimum memory
requirement is met.
n Change the printer’s default resolution to a lower
setting.
n Increase the printer’s Display List memory
n Reduce the complexity of the copy request (for
example, collation, duplexing, number of copies).
n Install more memory.
