DCC Operation
Place the locomotive on the programming track and read
out the locomotive address. The basic setting should be 3.
Put the locomotive temporarily into operation with these
setting and check functions that are available. After this rst
check you can change the parameters to t your needs.
If the reading device indicates “read error“, check again
to make sure that the wiring for the locomotive is correct
and pay attention to the information about connections
for the programming track. Do not put the locomotive into
operations under any circumstances until you have checked
out the above!
Programming the Locomotive (DCC)
The locomotive‘s characteristics for DCC operation can be
changed as often as desired by programming the congura-
tion variables (CV). The documentation for your program-
ming device will give you information about programming
parameters.
Note:
With the exception of CV01 and CV02 all other parameters
can be changed while the locomotive is in operation (POM /
Program on the Main).
Note:
If other speed levels are programmed in the decoder than
are in the locomotive controller, it may cause malfunctions.
The speed levels in the locomotive controller are not assu-
med by the decoder. In this situation refer to the information
about your locomotive controller.
Note for DCC Operation:
Operation with opposite polarity DC in a braking section
is not possible with the factory setting. If this feature is
desired, then you must do without conventional DC operati-
on (CV29 / Bit 2 = 0).
Caution:
Motor control variant 3 is recommended for can motors with
bell-shaped armatures; pulse width 0 is also recommended
for these motors. No warranty claims will be accepted for
damages to motors as a result of incorrect settings.
