5.5 Exiting the Standby Mode
Press the key to exit Standby mode.
After you exit the Standby mode, the system responds as follows:
■ Restores parameter measurement as previously configured.
■ Alarm system is activated.
■ The TM80/TM70 notifies the CMS of returning to the Monitoring mode.
5.6 Discharging the Patient
When the TM80/TM70 is connected to the CMS, discharging the patient will stop moni-
toring at the TM80/TM70 and CMS.
After discharging the patient, the patient’s configuration is cleared at the TM80/TM70.
The TM80/TM70 can admit next new patient by applying the user configuration. If the
TM80/TM70 does not save the user configuration, it will load the departmental settings
sent by the CMS for the new patient.
You can discharge the patient by selecting the [Discharge Patient] menu or restarting
the TM80/TM70.
5.6.1 Selecting the [Discharge Patient] menu
1. In the main menu, tap [Discharge Patient].
2. In the [Discharge Patient] confirmation menu, select [Ye s ].
◆ The patient is discharged from both the TM80/TM70 and the CMS.
◆ The patient’s configuration is cleared and the default departmental settings
are restored.
◆ The [Discharged Pat.] window of the CMS adds a record of the patient’s his-
tory data.
3. Press the key to start monitoring by applying the default departmental set-
tings.
NOTE
• When the TM80/TM70 is connected to a CMS, the patient being dis-
charged from the TM80/TM70 is also discharged from the CMS. Refer to
the BeneVision Central Monitoring System Operator’s Manual (P/N 046-
007960-00) for details.
