7.9.3.3 Setting Arrhythmia Alarm Timeout Period
The arrhythmia algorithm can disable alarm light and alarm tone for designated period
of time when certain arrhythmia alarms are detected.
You can set the arrhythmia alarm timeout period at the CMS. For how to set the arrhyth-
mia alarm timeout period, refer to "Configuring the Arrhythmia Shield Time" on page
12 - 23.

NOTE
• For the following alarms, alarm light and alarm tone cannot be disabled:
HR high, HR low, Tachycardia, Bradycardia, Afib End, Irr. Rhythm End.
• The timeout period is only applicable to the alarms in the medium prior-
ity chains and atrial fibrillation chain. For the alarms in the high priority
chain, alarm tone and alarm light are presented as soon as the alarm
condition is detected.
• Alarm indication rules for alarms in the atrial fibrillation chain are the
same with those for the medium priority chains.
