2. Press the large button on the right side of the SpO
2
module (shown in FIGURE 10-10)
until a loud audible click is heard. The click sound indicates that the latch is has been
properly disengaged from the Telepack.

NOTE: As a safety feature, the connectors should remain connected
even after the mechanical latch is disengaged.
3. Remove the flexible cover from the bottom of the SpO
2
Module.
4. To avoid electrostatic sensitivity, install the flexible cover on the connector on the bottom
of the Telepack.
NOTE: The Telepack may automatically reset due to an electrostatic
event if the flexible cover is not replaced.
10.5.4 Installing the Patient Cable
A patient cable is needed to collect the SpO
2
data.
1. Mate the 8-pin connector on the cable with the matching connector on the bottom of the
SpO
2
Module. The connector should be firmly pressed in place to ensure that it is
properly placed.
